Zika virus detected in India, first three cases in Gujarat

what happened: India detected its first cases of Zika virus, with three people reporting the infection in Gujarat.
what it means: The WHO termed the findings “low-level transmission” but warned that new cases of the disease -- which has no treatment -- linked to babies born with underdeveloped brains could occur in the future.
