Citizens to get learning licence in 10 minutes at Wadala RTO

what happened: Wadala RTO has started issuing learning licences to successful applicants within 10-15 minutes.
what it means: The facility will save lot of time and money of the applicants. Earlier they were forced to wait for 2-3 hours or visit the next day to the RTO, after clearing the learning licence test.
what next: Mumbai's another RTOs are likely to adopt the same facility soon.

Ghatkopar building collapse-Three month old among three dead

what happened: Two senior citizen and a three month old child lost their lives after a building collapsed in Mumbai
what it means: A ground+3 building gave away on Monday morning in Ghatkopar trapping 30-40 residents. Intial reports suggest construction on the ground floor in nursing home as the cause of the collapse
what next: 30-40 people are feared trapped while 13 others are rescued. Rescue operations are underway.

Mumbai university will release only some results by July 31

what happened: University will miss July 31 deadline, except for courses in fine arts, engineering and science
what it means: Monday was the first non-instructional day in most colleges and close 5,000 teachers reported for duty and evaluated 92,000 papers. Results of other courses expected by mid-August.
what next: State Governor has asked MU to stick to July 31 deadline or face music by the end of this month.
